Bonsai jack succulent soil reddit. It s expensive so i use it very sparingly. I also had problems with growth using bonsai jack. From the reviews i found it seemed like it was worth a try but of course i have. I spent a poop ton of money on 3 5 gallons of the bonsai jack and my experience is that yes it is better than the stuff you get in the store by a mile but if you have plants that have small roots because they aren t well established yet you won t want this soil because it is so loose and has such large pieces that it can t support a small root system and the plants will fall over.
I m considering mixing it with cactus soil just so it can hold some water for the succulents to suck up. It s not the god send everyone says it is but as an ingredient to a soil mix with perlite the drainage is awesome. I got the soil for christmas it drains just fine. I haven t looked into it but i have heard you can achieve a similar mix of your own for cheaper by buying supplies separately.
