Kojo No Mai Bonsai
This workshop will consist of a dwarf cherry bonsai tree botanical name punus incisa kojo no mai.
Kojo no mai bonsai. Prunus incisa kojo ni mai flowering cherry trees prunus incisa kojo no mai are deciduous bonsai and often highly regarded as an ornamental species. Prunus kojo no mai is a fantastic deciduous shrub with elegant layered branches and zig zag twigs. Kojo no mai kojo no mai is an upright vase shaped slow growing shrub or small tree with hairy oblong to narrowly lance shaped mid green leaves turning orange red in autumn and in early spring white to pale pink flowers turning darker pink in the centre with age. Pink buds open to delicate single flowers with white petals in early spring that hang in attractive bunches all along the branches and become deeper pink in the centre.
The small white blooms appear before any foliage. The branches grow naturally in a zig zag pattern. Prunus incisa kojo no mai or as it is more commonly known the fuji cherry is an excellent subject for bonsai cultivation. The white bark and small dark green foliage look nice all season.
Also called little twist cherry. Prunus incisa kojo no mai this new cultivar of fuji flowering cherry has lovely profuse tightly clustered white flowers with pink centers bursting into blossom in spring on contorted branches. It is frequently available in garden centres and nurseries in the uk and around europe during the early months of spring where it is frequently admired for its very early pink white blossom in march. Kojo no mai variety is by far the best flowering cherry for bonsai.
A charming dwarf flowering cherry award winning prunus incisa kojo no mai is a slow growing compact deciduous shrub with wonderful zig zag branches boasting small but profuse single flowers in early spring. The light colored bark with deep green color looks nice during the growing period. The branches have a zig zag growth habit which is unusual and attractive in winter. The small white blooms appear first before any foliage comes out making a very stark look.
