Mexican Heather Bonsai
I started this mexican heather about 2 months ago with plans to have a mame sized bonsai.
Mexican heather bonsai. Here are the three plants i seperated from one big mexican heather to create 3 new bonsai plants. Growing just 10 to 18 inches tall this shrubby tropical annual is smothered in blooms all summer long. That s at least 95 of the roots tossed away. Prized for its lacy foliage and numerous jewel like flowers cuphea commonly called mexican heather makes an ideal container or border plant.
I pruned away everything leaving about a dime in diameter of root. Plus the flowers are as attractive to butterflies as they are to you. Gwi 23239 this section i think most resembles the bonsai form there is also a split in the wood at the base where the two branches make a drastic v shape on the right side gwi 23240.
